Negative Words

Today's Summary

Negative Words are used to express our thought impressively and clearly. They make a long sentence short. Today we have learnt the following N-words :


01. not = नहीं। (आज्ञावाचक में 'मत')

  • I am not talking to you.
  • Children do not play there.
  • We did not go there.

02. no = नहीं। (कोई नहीं / एक भी नहीं)

  • I have no idea.
  • No children play there.

03. neither = प्रत्येक नहीं। (दो में से)

  • Neither method is good.
  • He can write with neither hand.
  • Neither of the two is present.

04. nor = ना ही। (द्वितीयक नकारात्मकता)

  • She has not arrived yet nor did she call.
  • Neither he nor I am fool
  • They can speak neither Hindi nor English.

05. none = कोई नहीं। (दो से अधिक संख्या में से)

  • None of his classmates are intelligent.
  • I offered him 3 pieces but she chose none.

06. no one = कोई नहीं। (एकवचन)

  • No one in the village is wise.
  • You should meet no one today.

07. nobody = कोई नहीं। (एकवचन)

  • Nobody can take the place of DADA Panchamlal.
  • I know nobody here.
  • You can trust nobody.

08. nothing = कुछ नहीं।

  • You no nothing.
  • Nothing can shake me now.

09. never = कभी नहीं।

  • Never tell a lie.
  • I can never trust that scoundrel.
  • Never hurt anybody in your life.

10. nowhere = कहीं नहीं।

  • Go nowhere without my permission.
  • There is nowhere to go.
