Thinking About Language
इस पाठ की व्याकरण योजना के अन्तर्गत आपको विभिन्न प्रकार के साहित्यिक अलंकारों (literary devices) से अवगत कराने का प्रयास किया गया है। अभ्यास में जो 11 sentences दिये गये हैं, उनमें निम्नलिखित literary devices का प्रयोग किया गया है। इनका अध्ययन आप हिन्दी की पाठ्यपुस्तक में भी करते हैं।
- Hyperbolé (अतिशयोक्ति अलंकार): इसमें चीजों को उनकी वास्तविकता से अधिक बढ़ा-चढ़ाकर बताया जाता है।
- Contrast (विरोधाभास अलंकार): वाक्य के पहले और दूसरे हिस्से में परस्पर विरोधाभास होता है।
- Similé (उपमा अलंकार): एक व्यक्ति/वस्तु की तुलना दूसरी व्यक्ति/वस्तु से की जाती है।
- Metaphor (रूपक अलंकार): एक व्यक्ति/वस्तु को बिल्कुल दूसरा/दूसरी व्यक्ति/वस्तु मान लिया जाता है।
